Sapphire Reserve cardholders can now access select Air Canada lounges
The Chase Sapphire Reserve® (see rates and fees) is one of our favorite travel cards and provides excellent travel benefits, including some of the best lounge access.
This week, Chase expanded its lounge offerings. Now, Sapphire Reserve cardholders have access to select Air Canada Maple Leaf lounges worldwide.
How to access Air Canada Maple Leaf lounges
The Chase Sapphire Reserve already had some of the best lounge access with a Priority Pass Select membership and access to Chase Sapphire lounges. Now, almost two dozen lounges have been added to its already impressive network.

Chase states:
Relax at select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés in the U.S., Canada and Europe. To enter at participating lounges, present your Sapphire Reserve Card and an eligible departing same-day ticket or boarding pass for a flight operated by Air Canada or a Star Alliance member airline.
It is important to note that you don't have to enroll for this added lounge benefit.
Which lounges can I enter?
Sapphire Reserve cardholders will have access to 20 Air Canada Maple Leaf lounges at 16 airports around the world, according to Air Canada:
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, Terminal 6 (reopening in November)
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, Terminal B Eastern Concourse
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, Terminal 2
- Frankfurt Airport (FRA) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Heathrow Airport (LHR) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Calgary International Airport (YYC) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Edmonton International Airport (YEG) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Ottawa International Airport (YOW) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Regina International Airport (YQR) - Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- St. John's International Airport (YYT) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Saskatoon International Airport (YXE) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge
- Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge and Air Canada Cafe for domestic departures, Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge and Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Express for U.S. departures, Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge (excludes Air Canada Signature Suite) for international departures
- Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) — Aspire Air Canada Cafe
- Vancouver International Airport (YVR) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge for domestic departures, Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge for U.S. departures, Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge (excludes Air Canada Signature Suite) for international departures
- Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG) — Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge

It is important to note that these lounges are not part of Priority Pass, and entry is based on capacity.
Furthermore, the standard guest policy of two guests allowed in for free to Priority Pass and Sapphire lounges does not apply to these Air Canada Maple Leaf lounges — complimentary access is for cardholders or authorized users only.
Guests can enter with a cardholder for a fee of $59 for locations within the U.S., 59 Canadian dollars for locations within Canada, 59 euros for locations within the European Union or 59 pounds for locations within the United Kingdom.
Bottom line
Any time more lounges are added to a card, that is an added bonus for cardholders. With the addition of select Air Canada Maple Leaf lounges, Chase is narrowing the gap between its lounge portfolio and the American Express Global Lounge Collection.
While the lounges are mainly in major international airports, this addition gives cardholders flying on Air Canada or a Star Alliance airline extra options, and that is always a bonus, especially with the current state of lounge overcrowding and wait times.
