Fast-growing Breeze now up to 70 destinations with addition of Key West
Breeze Airways will make Key West, Florida, the latest dot on its ever-expanding route map.
Flights from the popular destination in the Florida Keys begin June 12, when Breeze launches four weekly flights to both Orlando and Tampa.
Breeze has throttled up its growth since it launched service in 2021. Key West International Airport (EYW) will become the 70th destination in the carrier's network and its 10th in Florida. EYW marks the carrier's fourth new city so far in 2025 and 33rd since the beginning of 2024.

Breeze runs large operations in both Orlando and Tampa, meaning Key West connections will be available from a number of the carrier's other cities — though Breeze didn't specify how many.
"We're confident this will be a very popular addition to Breeze's national network [and] look forward to welcoming new and existing Guests to the area onboard an upcoming Breeze flight this summer," Breeze founder and CEO David Neeleman said in a statement announcing the service.
Breeze is also upping its presence elsewhere in the Sunshine State, doubling its schedule on its existing service between Tampa and Pensacola to four weekly flights. The additional flights begin June 5.
Breeze has one direct competitor on the Pensacola-Tampa route: regional airline Silver Airways.
Silver filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December, saying it intended to fly as normal while it reorganized. That's been common practice for U.S. airlines under Chapter 11, but Silver drew headlines earlier this month after it abruptly halted Orlando flights after apparent issues with aircraft availability.

Breeze also will go head-to-head with Silver on its new service between Key West and Tampa. Key West had been one of Silver's routes from Orlando until its unexpected exit from that market.
Breeze made no mention of competitors in announcing its Florida changes, but its overlapping Florida routes could draw travelers skittish to fly Silver after negative headlines about its Orlando disruptions.
Still, the Florida additions keep Breeze in expansion mode in a state where the airline had already focused much of its recent growth.
