Alaska Airlines going all out for Pride celebrations this year honoring the LGBTQIA+ community with a special livery celebrating the community.

Alaska's freshly modified "Fly with Pride" A320 jet made its debut this week with what Alaska calls a "Parade in the Sky," starting in Seattle, with stops in Portland, Oregon; San Francisco, and San Diego on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Alaska said:

"This month, to commemorate Pride month, Alaska surprised not one—but four lucky flights on a newly decorated Pride-inspired plane supporting the LGBTQ+ community. The plane, the first of its kind in the United States, will fly throughout our network for the next year. "

Alaska Airlines adds, "The special Airbus A320 aircraft features airplane decals with iconic rainbow stripes & inclusive colors, winglets, and the words 'Fly with Pride' adorned the side."

The first day saw the journey start with celebrations in Seattle.

There was a full-on party at the gate and during boarding, and during the first flights.

The plane went on to Portland, San Francisco and then San Diego where celebrations continued. Guests were surprised with swag bags, large folding fans that filled the plane with popping sounds when they were snapped out. The airline even gave out free roundtrip tickets to anywhere Alaska flies.
