If you've ever dreamed of enjoying an authentic German lager during Oktoberfest, this deal is for you. Not only does it include travel to Frankfurt during the popular festival period, which runs most of September through the beginning of October (in Munich, a three-hour, $20 train ride from Frankfurt), but you'll also get the few extra inches of legroom and slightly elevated service that comes with a comfy premium economy seat on Star Alliance carriers.

Prices in premium economy on this route usually run about $2,000, but for this deal we're seeing seats selling for nearly half of that, with prices in the $1,100-$1,300 range. The discounted fare is also available in the late spring. The sale includes Singapore Airlines' fifth-freedom route from New York to Frankfurt. TPG's Katie Genter had great things to say about Singapore's premium economy product.

Today's deal was originally sent out from Scott's Cheap Flights Premium. You can try Scott's Cheap Flights for free for 14 days and then $49 per year. You can also upgrade to the Elite tier for $199 per year and receive all the Premium deals plus premium economy, business-class and first-class alerts.

Plus, TPG readers can use promo code TPG25 and save 25% on a Premium membership now through March 31.

Bottom line

If Germany and its beer and brats are on your travel list in 2022 or early 2023, this deal deserves a closer look. It might also be an opportunity to try out premium economy on a jumbo jet on one of our favorite carriers — Singapore Airlines.
