Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Flight sales to Chile are rare, which is a shame because this string bean-shaped country has so much to offer. If you aren't sure what to do there, check out Get Your Guide's Top 10 List for Santiago and for Chile in general.

We're seeing widespread availability beginning in August and fizzling out in November, while a few select dates for each route are available in late spring between May and June.

Discovered by Scott's Cheap Flights, today's deal comes to you courtesy of Panama's flag carrier COPA Airlines as well as the online travel agency (OTA) Vayama, which is offering flights at a $60 discount relative to every other seller. As a result, the rules for finding your best fares are different this time.

As usual, you'll head to Google Flights and enter your origin and destination cities to search for the best dates. Scroll through the calendar function to find dates and prices that work for you. But after that, you need to open a separate tab, navigate to Skyscanner and input the dates from Google Flights in order to find the $580+ fares. Then within the Skyscanner platform, purchase your tickets through Vayama.

You'll have a better experience selecting your seats and will be better protected if you need to change your flight by booking directly with COPA, so if the convenience is worth $60 to you, flights begin at $640 if purchased through COPA, Expedia, Orbitz or Priceline.
