Lufthansa is currently offering one of the best points promotions we've seen in quite some time.

On the 30th anniversary of the airline's Miles & More frequent flyer program, members can earn 30 miles per euro on all hotel reservations made through Booking.com. This applies to any reservations made through the site anywhere in the world.

You must book during December. However, the hotel stay can occur any time that you can book through the site. Even better, there's no mandated prepayment unless required by the hotel you're booking. You'll have to give your Miles & More number during or after booking to ensure you get your miles. If you're not a member yet, you can sign up for the program here.

The cap on miles you can earn in the promotion is 150,000, so it's a great opportunity to stockpile miles in the Miles & More program for future travels.

The U.S. dollar-to-euro exchange rate is currently about $1 to 0.93 euros. So, for American travelers, you're earning 28 miles per dollar spent. The miles earned don't expire if you have elite status with Lufthansa. Otherwise, you lose them after 36 months. Your miles will be credited to your Miles & More account 64 or more days after you complete your stay.

You can't access this special offer through Booking.com's website. You can Google it or just go directly to Lufthansa's site and find it right there on the home page:
