Book now: JetBlue flash sale with $25 one-way flights
In celebration of JetBlue winning TPG's award for Best Economy Product last night at the 2022 TPG Awards, JetBlue is offering travelers the chance to book one-way flights starting at $25, including to New York City; Fort Lauderdale; Los Angeles; Charleston, South Carolina; and more.
Note that this is a timely flash sale, and you must book flights by 11:59 p.m. EST today, Dec. 8.
Deal basics
Airlines: JetBlue.
Routes: To/from Austin; Boston; Charleston; Fort Myers, Florida; Las Vegas; Miami; New York; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and others.
How to book: Directly through the airline's sale page.
Travel dates: December 2022 through January 2023, with specific dates determined by the route.
Book by: 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec. 8, 2022.
Sale flights are for JetBlue's Blue Basic fare, restricting passengers to one personal item that can fit under the seat in front of them. Any full-size carry-on bag brought to the gate will incur a fee and needs to be checked ($65 for your first or second checked bag or $180 for your third). Factor in an additional $35 for your checked bag and $45 for your second, should you choose to check bags. Change and cancel fees also apply to Blue Basic fares.
Sample flights
As mentioned, this "SALE-celebration" is restricted to specific flights, dates and routes, starting at just $25 one-way and going up to $90. You can see a sampling of available routes below; the list includes flights departing from both New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) to various warm-weather destinations.
There are also several flights departing from the Miami area — specifically, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) — to places such as JFK, Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).
To book this sale, select your desired flight route to see if the flight date works for you, such as this flight from Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Dec. 14 for $25.
Upon doing so, you'll be directed to its low-fare calendar, where you can see the lowest-priced flight.
In this case, you would select the one $25 Blue Basic flight offered below.
With taxes and fees, this flight comes to $24.60. Because this sale is limited in scope, it's unlikely you could stack two discounted one-way flights to make a round-trip journey. However, you could separately purchase a return one-way flight for a higher price. For example, flights from LAX back to LAS are available on Dec. 17 starting at $45.
Maximize your purchase
Don’t forget to use a credit card that earns bonus points on airfare purchases, such as the JetBlue Plus Card (6 points per dollar spent on eligible JetBlue purchases) or the JetBlue Card (3 points per dollar spent on eligible JetBlue purchases). Otherwise, consider the Chase Sapphire Reserve (3 points per dollar spent on airfare), the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (2 points per dollar spent on travel) or The Platinum Card® from American Express (5 points per dollar spent on airfare booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year).
The information for the JetBlue Card and the JetBlue Plus Card has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
