Deal alert: Newark to European cities under $500 round-trip

If you’re traveling from New Jersey, United Airlines has some stellar deals to a handful of European cities including flights from Newark to London, Paris, Madrid, Milan and Berlin for under $500 round-trip for travel in the fall.

The deal was reported by Thrifty Traveler Premium, which for $7.99 monthly or $49.99 annually will send notifications on cheap flights, award flight sales and business-class deals. These fares are available for travel from September to November.

Here are the cities included in these deals from Newark (EWR):

These fares are for basic economy seating on United, which includes a carry-on. A checked bag and seat selection will each cost an additional fee.

One of the lowest-priced trips we found from Newark (EWR) was to Porto, Portugal (OPO) for $386 round-trip at beginning of October. This direct flight to Portugal’s second-largest city is a hard one to pass up.

New Jerseyans can get authentic Spanish tapas and paella with this deal for a nonstop flight from Newark (EWR) to Madrid (MAD) at $437 round-trip in mid-September.

There is a wide selection of direct flights throughout September and October from Newark (EWR) to London (LHR) at $480 round-trip. Below are some nonstops we found for a trip from Sept. 10-17.

Maybe you’re thinking of French wine and pastries? There is a deal from Newark (EWR) to Paris (CDG) at $496 round-trip at the beginning of November. The departure is a direct, overnight flight on United, but the return trip includes a segment form Paris (CDG) to Zurich (ZRH) on Swiss International Air Lines before taking a United flight home from there to New Jersey.

If you want to head to a fashion capital in Europe, flights to Milan (MXP) from Newark (EWR) start at $497 round-trip at the beginning of November.
