Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to travel. Additionally, keep in mind that discounted partner fares may not earn miles with US-based carriers.

The SkyTeam alliance is putting Europe on sale right now from many US cities. We are seeing very low fares from Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago and New York. Destinations include Budapest, Vienna, Dusseldorf and Amsterdam. This appears to be an "attack" on AA hubs, so American might retaliate with low fares from Delta hubs later in the day (Detroit, Atlanta, Minneapolis, etc.).

The fares are valid from September through December, with some limited availability continuing on into 2017. Flights can be booked directly on Delta's site, although you may find cheaper prices by searching on Momondo and then booking with a third-party online travel agency. Many of these trips will earn at least 10,000 Delta MQMs, but you may be better off crediting the miles to a different airline for more redeemable miles since Delta is revenue-based.
