Deal Alert: US to Southeast Asia from $462 Round-Trip on Star Alliance
Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here.
Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to travel. Additionally, keep in mind that discounted partner fares may not earn miles with US-based carriers.
If you're looking to go on an adventure to Southeast Asia, now is the time to book your flight. United is currently offering discounted fares on open-jaw tickets from several US cities. This means, for example, that you can fly from San Francisco (SFO) to Bangkok (BKK) and then return from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) back to San Francisco, with a layover in Tokyo (NRT) each way. That particular routing comes in at only $462 for the outbound and return flights. There are similar options available from Los Angeles (LAX), Newark (EWR) and Chicago O'Hare (ORD) as well. To find your flights, search on Google Flights and then head over to United's site to complete booking.
