Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here.
Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to travel.
Per The Flight Deal, American and US Airways are offering fares starting at $545 from New York or Philadelphia to Amsterdam.
There is solid availability between September and December, and again March through May, for Sunday through Thursday departures. These fares earn full mileage and elite qualifying miles.

Remember that after October 17, all flights will be operated by the new American — that means you won't need to worry about ineligible codeshares if you're hoping to apply a Systemwide Upgrade or upgrade with miles. For flights until then, be sure to book the correct marketing carrier to avoid a codeshare if you're looking to upgrade.
On some days, you can travel on British Airways for slightly more as well, if you prefer. New York fares are available from either Newark Liberty International Airport, or LaGuardia Airport. You can also start from other cities for about $100 more, such as Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago.
