Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Expedia, Orbitz or Priceline, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty within one day of booking. However, if you're using the American Express Platinum Card, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of the airline's 24 hour cancellation policy if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.

Delta's offering discounted fares on basic economy round-trips to Hawaii. We're seeing round-trip prices to Hawaii from as low as $350 in basic economy. Delta's including many of its continental US cities in this deal, as well as nearly all of its destinations throughout Hawaii.

Keep in mind that these fares are for basic economy and most require a layover. However, Delta's basic economy fare is widely regarded as the least restrictive of any of the major US carriers. Plus, there are still ways to beat the restrictions of basic economy by using co-branded credit cards — check out this post for more details. If you're interested in booking, head to Google Flights to find dates that work for you and click through to book with Delta.
