Citi Strata Elite: What are the World Legend Mastercard benefits?
Editor's Note
Citi finally launched a premium rewards card, the Citi Strata Elite℠ Card (see rates and fees), which offers premium perks, bonus-earning rates on select categories and other noteworthy benefits.
Plus, this card is the world’s first World Legend Mastercard, a new premium tier above World Elite Mastercard that offers exclusive dining, lifestyle and travel perks. As the payment network, Mastercard has taken this opportunity to challenge its long-standing rival, Visa.
Let's review what World Legend Mastercard benefits are and how cardholders of the Citi Strata Elite can maximize them.
What is World Legend Mastercard?
World Legend Mastercard is the newest category to be added as part of the Mastercard collection. The tiers in order of lowest to highest are as follows:
- World Mastercard
- World Elite Mastercard
- World Legend Mastercard
World Elite Mastercard is the most known within the marketplace and includes cards such as the Citi Strata Premier® Card (see rates and fees) and the Chase Freedom Flex® (see rates and fees).

The new World Legend Mastercard program competes with Visa Infinite by giving cardholders access to memberships, perks and even statement credits. At the moment, the Citi Strata Elite is the only World Legend Mastercard, but we wouldn't be surprised to see the portfolio grow in the coming years.

What are the World Legend Mastercard benefits?
World Legend Mastercard benefits can be split into two categories: partner benefits and Mastercard benefits. To maximize partner benefits, you must enroll with a merchant, add your card to your account with a merchant or spend on the Citi Strata Elite card.
Mastercard benefits are offered by the network and can include Mastercard services or offers in collaboration with a partner.
World Legend Mastercard partner benefits
Alo Moves
Cardholders receive membership discounts and other perks with Alo. Receive up to 50% off an Alo Moves membership; upon signing up, you'll also get 300 bonus points in Alo Access, Alo's loyalty program. You'll also receive a one-time 20% discount on Alo gear and wellness products. Offer expires Sept. 30, 2025.

If you purchase athletic wear and participate in online wellness classes, this is a good way to save on some of those costs. Otherwise, this perk is not as useful, adding no additional value for Citi Strata Elite cardholders.
Booking.com discount
As a World Legend Mastercard cardholder, you'll get up to 7% off prepaid stays on Booking.com. Offer ends Sept. 30, 2025. Although it's not a major perk, saving money on your next accommodation can be useful. To take advantage of this benefit, simply pay with your card at checkout.
Just remember, booking with an online travel agency has pros and cons; the major cons are sacrificing elite benefits and missing out on elite-qualifying nights and points on paid stays.

HealthLock
Cardholders can enroll in HealthLock for Mastercard Medical Claim Monitor for a complimentary membership and also receive a 90-day upgrade to all HealthLock services at no monthly cost. To activate your membership, visit the HealthLock website and enter your Citi Strata Elite card number.
Instacart+ and statement credit
Cardholders get a free three-month trial of Instacart+ with a new subscription and $10 off their second eligible Instacart purchase each month. Offer ends Jan. 31, 2027.

Instacart+ costs $9.99 per month, so the three-month trial saves you about $30. If you maximize the benefit of $10 off a second order each month, you can save $120 a year in groceries.
Several cobranded Chase cards also provide the same three-month trial membership and $10 credit, so this offer isn't unique to the World Legend Mastercard.
Lyft credit
Cardholders earn a $5 credit with Lyft after completing three rides in a month. You also benefit from a 10% discount on all scheduled rides to U.S. airports, but you must pay with your Citi Strata Elite card. Offer ends Jan. 31, 2026.

World Elite Mastercards also offer this perk, so it's not unique to Citi Strata Elite cardholders. It's definitely not a make-it-or-break-it benefit for prospective cardholders.
Compared to other cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (see rates and fees), which offers a $10 Lyft credit per month (through Sept. 30, 2027), this World Legend Mastercard credit requires more spending and effort to use.
Mastercard transit benefit
With a World Legend Mastercard, you can save money when you tap and go at participating transit locations. Receive a $2.50 statement credit after spending $10 or more each month. Participating transit agencies include:
- Boston: Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority
- Chicago: Chicago Transit Authority and Pace Suburban Bus
- Dallas: Dallas Area Rapid Transit
- Miami-Dade County, Florida: Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works
- New York/New Jersey: Port Authority Trans-Hudson and New Jersey Transit Corporation
- Philadelphia: Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority
- Washington, D.C.: Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority

To be eligible, you must make a contactless payment at the point of entry, and you can receive the benefit if you spend $10 a month across the various eligible cities and their transit systems. Interestingly, it's missing some notable transit systems, such as Bay Area Rapid Transit in San Francisco and the surrounding area.

Peacock subscription credit
A valuable perk for Citi Strata Elite cardholders is the Peacock subscription credit. World Legend Mastercard provides $5 off Peacock Premium Plus or $3 off Peacock Premium each month. Offer ends Dec. 31, 2025.

A Peacock Premium Plus subscription costs $16.99 (plus tax) per month, and the $5 statement credit reduces the monthly cost to $11.99. Meanwhile, a Peacock Premium subscription costs $10.99 (plus tax) per month, and cardholders get a $3 statement credit, reducing their monthly cost to $7.99. If you're already paying for Peacock, it's great that this will cover some of the cost.
Unfortunately, the credit falls short of competitors' offers of statement credits to cover the entire cost of streaming or entertainment subscriptions.

Priority Pass membership
Premium credit cards offering lounge access are the norm nowadays. With World Legend Mastercard, primary cardholders and authorized users both receive complimentary access to Priority Pass lounges, and they can bring up to two guests.

In addition to lounge access, cardholders also receive special offers and discounts on dining, retail and spa experiences within airport terminals. It would've been competitive for World Legend Mastercard to include restaurant access at airport terminals to set it apart from Visa Infinite; however, it missed the mark.
Remember, Citi Strata Elite cardholders also get four Admirals Club passes each calendar year, a unique perk of the card.
ResortPass
If you're interested in experiencing a hotel and its amenities, like a spa, ResortPass is a great perk. It offers access to resorts, pools or water parks at many destinations, and a wide range of property options. You can earn a $30 statement credit on your next ResortPass booking of $200 or more when using your eligible card. Offer ends Sept. 30, 2025.

Looking to experience another hotel's amenities while on vacation or during a cruise stop? ResortPass can be a fun way to enjoy a property without paying for a night's stay. However, for most, spending $200 on a ResortPass may not be worthwhile, and they would rather opt to pay a little more for a night's stay instead.
Soho Friends membership
Soho Friends is a travel and lifestyle program from Soho House, a private membership club with locations worldwide. Soho House operates clubs, hotels, restaurants and other venues. World Legend Mastercard cardholders receive a complimentary year of Soho Friends. Offer ends Dec. 31, 2027. This gives cardholders the ability to stay in all Soho House bedrooms worldwide.

Enjoy perks like 15% off the room rate, 12 p.m. checkout, and upgrades on stays of three nights or more (subject to availability upon arrival). You also receive 15% off full-priced products and an additional 20% off discounted products at Soho Home.
One of the best perks is the ability to access Soho House when staying in a bedroom. This is an amazing and underrated perk because memberships to Soho House can be difficult to attain due to its lengthy application and interview process, not to mention long waitlists.
Among the list of World Legend Mastercard benefits, I would put this as the best perk that World Legend has to offer to Citi Strata Elite cardholders.

World Legend Mastercard direct benefits
The following benefits are provided directly by Mastercard to Strata Elite cardholders.
- Global emergency services: Call 1-800-MASTERCARD (1-800-627-8372) for 24/7 assistance to report a lost or stolen card.
- Mastercard Concierge: This is a complimentary 24/7 concierge service similar to a personal assistant. It is perfect for reserving tables at sought-after restaurants, locating hard-to-secure items, booking curated experiences and more.
- Mastercard Golf: Access to PGA Tour experiences and golf benefits with Mastercard's golf concierge service.
- Mastercard ID Theft Protection: Monitor your credit report for fraud and receive alerts for suspicious activity.
- Mastercard Travel Rewards: An international program that provides cash-back rewards across 25 countries when shopping at various well-known brands. You can earn rewards at participating businesses, like restaurants and entertainment venues, while traveling and online.
- Mastercard Zero Liability: Provides protection against unauthorized use of your World Legend Mastercard.
- Priceless experiences: Exclusive in-person and digital experiences in culture, dining, sports, entertainment and more around the world for World Legend Mastercard cardholders.

One of the best perks from Mastercard is access to Priceless experiences. If access to restaurants and events is important to you, this is a benefit to take advantage of. You'll get priority reservations at thousands of the most popular restaurants; ticketing access to music, theater and sporting events; and more. Mastercard's access to presale and preferred tickets to music and entertainment events is only valid until March 31, 2027.
Bottom line
The Citi Strata Elite is the world's first card to debut Mastercard’s new World Legend tier. It comes with decent perks like Priority Pass and access to Mastercard’s Priceless experiences. It also offers exclusive benefits like a free Soho Friends membership. That said, some of the program's benefits are no different from those found on a World Elite Mastercard.
Just keep in mind that most benefits have an end date or a limited time to apply, so be sure to start taking advantage right away after applying for the Citi Strata Elite card.
