Barclaycard is no longer Barclaycard. In the future, you can refer to your former Barclaycard credit card as just "Barclays."
The issuer is in the process of emailing cardholders notifying them of the rebrand — its new name will simply be "Barclays." In the emails, the issuer is informing customers that their cards and benefits aren't charging — just the name.
The issuer will still be known as Barclaycard for now, but said that over the next few months the branding will change across the board, and its website and mobile app will be the first to get the updated Barclays nomenclature. In short, don't be surprised if you begin to see Barclays branding popping up online or on your card statements — it's all part of the plan.
