Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using the American Express Platinum Card, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.
Iceland is one of the hottest travel destinations of the year, and while you'll pay a pretty penny for everything from lodging to rental car fuel once you're on the ground, actually getting to the country can be dirt cheap. That's thanks to WOW Air — the carrier continues to offer $200+ fares from much of the US to Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF), including round-trip departures from Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO), Baltimore (BWI) and more.
Exact availability depends on where you're originating from, but we're generally seeing low fares for departures from now through December 2017. Use Google Flights to find the dates you want, then book directly with the airline. Note that WOW Air is a low-cost carrier, so carry-on and checked bags, seat assignments and other items you'll find bundled with legacy carrier fares require an additional fee with WOW.
