Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using the American Express Platinum Card, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Singapore Airlines is currently offering great fares in business class on board its A380 between New York (JFK) and Frankfurt (FRA). Availability is wide open from October 2017 through June 2018 — just in time for next summer's travel season. If you choose to book a ticket farther out in the future, you could be in luck, as the airline is close to unveiling a new business-class product for its A380s. While it's not necessarily uncommon to see business-class fares from the East Coast to Europe at around the $2,000 mark, it is unusual to see these prices on Singapore Airlines. Its fifth-freedom route from JFK to FRA is probably the best way to get to Europe, especially if you're in a premium cabin.

We recommend using Google Flights to find dates that work with your schedule, and then you can complete booking directly through the airline.
