Get 5% Cash Back on iPhone and Apple Purchases From Discover

With the holiday season now over, Discover has added the option to earn 5% cash back on iPhone 7 purchases — plus most other Apple purchases, including iPads, Mac computers and Apple TVs, as well as accessories for Apple devices — all the more incentive to keep right on shopping!

To take advantage of this cash-back offer, go to the Discover Deals website and click the Apple option. From there, log in to your Discover account and click the "Shop Now" link to take you to the Apple Store. As with online shopping portals, make sure you don't accidentally click away from the link that opens, since your purchase won't qualify for the 5% cash back unless it's made through that.

Say, for example, you want to purchase the new iPhone 7. The 128 GB iPhone 7 Plus currently retails for $869 on the Apple website, so if you were to buy two of them, your total would come to $1,738. By taking advantage of the Discover Deals promotion, you'd end up getting about $87 cash back, which would credit to your account within 10 weeks.

Unfortunately, this promotion does exclude purchase of the MacBook Pro, AirPod, as well as Apple gift cards, gift wrap, 1 to 1 Membership and Bose purchases. The offer also won't count for any products meant for resale, more than five of an eligible product, more than two iPhones within 30 days or any taxes and fees associated with your purchase.

While there's no set end date for this promotion, it's better to take advantage soon before it's gone. As with all Discover Deals, any Discover card — like the Discover it Miles card, which earns you 1.5x miles on every purchase and has no annual fee — will be eligible for the purchase.
