I’m always on the lookout for the latest travel tech innovations and ways to make travel easier and more comfortable. I wanted to share a few of the products I’ve been trying out lately and love. While some are definitely a splurge, I prefer to spend on high-quality products that will last or come with lifetime warranties.
I have been testing it out on my recent trips, and I love the spinning double wheels, its lightweight polycarbonate shell and lifetime warranty. The tracking works with both Apple and Google devices — it’s easy to set up the tracking on your phone. Prices range from $325 to $395, depending on size and features.
Here are a few more favorites:
Dagne Dover is definitely a favorite among the TPG staff, and this water-resistant neoprene toiletry bag ($75) is large enough to fit all my products and includes a zippered mesh pouch.
I love travel backpacks and this is a great, affordable option — the water-repellent North Face Router backpack ($159) with lots of pockets (perfect for Dads like me traveling with their kids). It can also hold a water bottle and a laptop up to 17 inches.
Now, while some people splurge on designer handbags, I’d opt for a timeless luxury backpack like this Prada, made of Saffiano leather and Re-Nylon. I admit that at $4,200, it’s absurdly priced and hopefully lasts a lifetime. You can find it at Saks Fifth Avenue and apply your semiannual $50 statement credit to take a little bit off!
Compression socks are a must for long-haul flights to help ward off deep vein thrombosis, aka blood clots, which can occur from lack of circulation and sitting too long. I always pack my Bombas compression socks (three-pack, $90) and stay well hydrated on flights. TPG readers can get 21% off using the code “FrequentFlyer.”
To keep my passport and credit cards safe, I use this high-quality leather RFID-blocking wallet from Royce New York ($135). I leave this wallet with cash and extra cards in the safe at my hotel. Nothing can ruin your trip faster than having your data or wallet stolen.
I hope some of these recommendations help you travel better. If you have a favorite travel product, hit reply and let me know!
Have a great weekend,
BK
