As TPG’s aviation reporter, I usually pop in here to talk about exciting new airline routes, lounges or seats.
What you might not know about me? I’m a low-key Marriott Bonvoy loyalist who’s stayed at properties on five continents.
And there’s a credit card that’s been my key to earning a bunch of points, scoring free nights and getting elite status (and my coveted free breakfast perks).
This could be the key to booking your next vacation — but you have to act fast! That free night alone could help you (more than) justify the card’s annual fee of $95.
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card comes in handy whether you stay at Marriott Bonvoy properties a couple of times a year — or are a loyalist like me, who’s booked stays on five continents. Here are the top three reasons why I hold onto this card year after year:
Redemptions: I’ve redeemed the points I’ve earned with the card at resorts like the stunning JW Marriott in Crete and the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort.
Free nights: This card was a big budget-saver on my recent trip to Croatia. My free night certificate got me a hotel night where I didn’t have to pay cash or use points. You’ll get a free night certificate every year on your account anniversary.
Status boost: The card helps boost my Marriott Bonvoy status, earning me perks like free breakfast and suite upgrades. You’ll automatically get Silver Elite status, but you’ll get a solid head start toward Gold and Platinum.
But don’t delay: New cardholders can earn 125,000 Marriott Bonvoy points and a free night award for a one-night stay at properties with a redemption level up to 50,000 points per night (certain hotels have resort fees) after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening. This elevated offer ends on Aug. 6 at 9 a.m. EDT.
In addition, you’ll get up to $100 in statement credits ($50 semi-annually) after spending $500 on eligible airline purchases (through June 30, 2027).
