My favorite way to celebrate birthdays and other major milestones is to take a trip. The memories made are much more special to me than a cute purse or the newest AirPods (though I did recently leave mine on an airplane, so maybe I should add them to my wishlist).
So, why not gift yourself a fabulous hotel stay to mark America’s milestone semiquincentennial? This country has it all — big cities, mountains, beaches and everything in between. The cost of seeing it all can add up.
With that in mind, I found some red, white and beautiful hotels with nightly rates under $250 and celebratory summertime packages to mark this special occasion.
Reconnect with nature: What better way to experience this country’s beauty than by staying in nature-inspired hotels near America’s gorgeous national and state parks?
Explore American history: At this art-forward boutique hotel in Boston, you can stage your own revolution against bland, boring hotels. Think graffiti murals of historic American figures and colorful decor.
Drive the Mother Road: Not to be outdone, Route 66 is celebrating its own birthday this year, too. To honor the Mother Road’s 100th birthday, Okana Resort & Indoor Waterpark is offering a package that includes road trip essentials and a 20% discount on the nightly rate.
