I’ve long found all-inclusive vacations to be a great way to keep travel costs steady, especially for group trips where everyone has different budgets. Now, with money feeling extra tight everywhere, the hospitality industry is turning to the all-inclusive model in one place that has become famously expensive (dare I say overpriced?): Las Vegas.
Earlier this year, the Conrad Las Vegas, part of Hilton’s Resorts World complex, introduced a first-of-its-kind (almost) all-inclusive package for $150 per person/per night that includes prix-fixe dining experiences, pool access with included drinks, access to an all-day lounge and even entry to a nightclub. Almost everything you might want for a few nights in Sin City is included (except your room), but it allows you to enjoy the classic Vegas experience without spending much beyond the package.
Now, other Las Vegas properties are following suit. Starting at $330, you can snag two nights (room included) at the Luxor or Excalibur, plus three meals with a drink, show tickets, a roller coaster ride and more. It’s just not that Mexico-style, unlimited-drinks scenario we think of with all-inclusives.
But then enter Harrah’s, The Linq and Flamingo, which are now offering packages with bottomless drinks at select bars and other perks from $200 per person, including the room.
I’m not saying all-inclusive Vegas vacations are for everyone. But it does raise the question: Could more inclusive-style vacations in the U.S. help travelers manage costs and still have a great trip without constantly worrying about their wallets?
Of course, the absolute best way to save big while getting the full experience is to book an all-inclusive vacation on points. And, lucky for you, we know all the best places you can do that.
