Once I find a hotel or destination I like, I tend to return again and again (shout out to Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Universal Orlando). There is a comfort to knowing what to expect, how comfortable the beds are and exactly how to get to the poolside bar.
However, there are some pretty exciting hotel openings this year that I will happily leave my comfort zone for (but you’ll still likely find me poolside with a drink). Here are a few properties I can’t wait to check out:
After my first visit to Costa Rica, I knew I wanted to go back one day. This new boutique property near Carara National Park participates in Marriott Bonvoy, so I can earn or redeem points for my stay in this vibrant, natural oasis.
As a Florida native, I was shocked to find out that IHG opened its first all-inclusive resort in the U.S. in my hometown of Port St. Lucie. The Voco Sandpiper offers fun activities for adults and children like waterfront yoga, pickleball, volleyball, pool games and more.
I stayed at Under Canvas Zion last year, and I’m so excited that the safari-inspired glamping brand, which partners with World of Hyatt, is opening two new locations this year. Under Canvas Yosemite is set to open in April, with Under Canvas White Mountains following close behind in June. What could be better than spending the day in the great outdoors while having a cozy bed to return to in the evening?
