I’m heading to Las Vegas for a long weekend soon and have decided to try letting artificial intelligence plan my whole itinerary for the first time ever.
I’m usually a careful researcher when I plan my travel, not liking to leave anything to chance, but for this trip, I was too busy and couldn’t be bothered combing through endless restaurant menus, calculating travel times on Google Maps and analyzing online reviews.
So, having never visited Sin City before and being overwhelmed with the endless options, but knowing there were plenty of deals to be found, I gambled on the popular ChatGPT being able to do the legwork for me as my personal travel agent.
I shared my dates, likes and dislikes, budget, preferred hotel loyalty programs, and a few high-stakes show tickets I had already purchased to make sure I was in the right place at the right time. Within minutes, ChatGPT created a complete itinerary for me, including travel times, best transport options, average prices and a handy map — so far, I’m really impressed.
