World of Hyatt is one of our favorite reward programs here at TPG — and for good reason. Not only does it use a fixed award chart — which helps you reliably find good value for your points — it is also generous with free night awards.
Most (though not all) of the free night awards you’re likely to earn, either by being a World of Hyatt Credit Card holder or by reaching milestones in the program, cover a standard room at any Hyatt property up through Category 4. These properties typically run 15,000 points per night, but off-peak nights can be found for only 12,000 points, and peak nights will run you 17,000 points.
So where exactly can you stay to maximize these valuable free night awards (or even just score a room for a very reasonable 15,000 points)? Fortunately, there are some terrific Category 4 properties out there.
If you’re seeking some of that famous Southern hospitality, look no further than the Andaz Savannah. This gem sits right in the heart of Savannah’s historic downtown, close to excellent dining and nightlife options.
Or if your travel plans are taking you farther from home, like to Australia, check out the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. It’s within walking distance of some great destinations and comes with amenities like an excellent fitness center and multiple dining options.
And remember: Even if you’re not sitting on any Hyatt points or free night awards, you can still book a free stay at these properties by transferring your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to World of Hyatt.
