I’ve added several travel items to my carry-on bag that come in handy on my frequent trips. I consider us friends, so I want to share my favorite space-saving, sanity-preserving items with you.
I love watching my favorite nostalgic movies when I fly (I once watched “Save the Last Dance,” “Love & Basketball” and “10 Things I Hate About You” on a flight), but I hate being tethered to the seatback entertainment screen by wired headphones.
That’s why I love the Avantree Relay Bluetooth adapter ($36.99). You just plug it into the headphone jack and connect to your wireless headphones via Bluetooth.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve tried plugging my device into a plane’s power socket only for it to fall out repeatedly because these overused sockets often become loose over time.
Luckily, a few of my co-workers discovered that when you plug your device into an international power adapter first, like the Epicka universal travel adapter ($22.99), it will fit much tighter (and charge more reliably).
Last but not least, I am obsessed with my portable power bank. I spend a lot of time in theme parks (some would say too much), and between taking photos and checking wait times, my phone battery never makes it through a full day of fun. This Q portable charger ($25.64) is compatible with several device types and has built-in cables.
