Big news, TPG readers! As you may have seen yesterday, Chase launched an exceptionally valuable limited-time offer on one of our favorite travel rewards cards: the ever-popular Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. Today, we’re here to bring you all the details.
Right now, you can earn a dramatically increased 100,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months after account opening.
This welcome offer is a whopping 66% better than the standard 60,000-point offer we usually see on this card — in fact, it hasn’t gone this high since 2021!
You might be wondering how much 100,000 Chase points are worth or where this bonus can take you, so let me break it down.
At a minimum, if you redeem for travel at a fixed rate through the Chase Travel℠ portal, the 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points are worth $1,250. For travelers who need flexibility and want to cover a couple of round-trip flights or a quick hotel getaway, this bonus offers huge value for a low $95 annual fee.
But I prefer to redeem my points through Chase’s valuable lineup of transfer partners, and according to our April 2025 valuations, they’re worth an estimated $2,050 that way.
For example, consider the value you could get when transferring Chase points to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. The 100,000-point bonus could get you up to a whopping 28 nights at Category 1 Hyatt hotels like the Hyatt Regency Cape Town, which would cost you over $5,500 if you paid cash.
Alternatively, 100,000 points could get you up to four nights at Category 7 Hyatt hotels like the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa (pictured above), which usually go for over $1,000 per night.
For flights, you can also transfer Chase points to airline loyalty programs, such as Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, where you can score a one-way economy award seat to London from several U.S. cities for just 6,000 points. With 100,000 points you could book eight round-trip tickets to Europe!
No matter how you prefer to redeem your points, the current elevated offer on the Sapphire Preferred packs a ton of value and can help make your 2025 travel dreams a reality. To learn more about its rare, elevated welcome offer, check out the following stories:
