Most of us here at TPG are rewards program junkies. Of course, we love earning as many rewards as we can through credit cards and loyalty programs. But did you know there are easy ways to combine the two and supercharge your points-earning on simple purchases?
Here’s how I earn points through multiple programs when I pay for my cold brew with my Starbucks app:
First, I reload my Starbucks app with my American Express® Gold Card to earn 4 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent at restaurants (on up to $50,000 per year, then 1 point per dollar), and then I also earn at least 2 Starbucks Stars when I pay for my cold brew with my app.
Just note: If earning Delta miles is a big draw, you may need to change your ride-hailing loyalty soon. Delta recently announced that its partnership with Lyft will end April 7 to make room for a new partnership with Uber.
No matter how you go about it, earning extra rewards is always a good thing. It’s worth double-checking your accounts to make sure you aren’t leaving any potential rewards on the table.
