Happy Thanksgiving! I highly recommend spending some time this holiday weekend reading our recently released list of where to go in 2025. The list contains 29 destinations, ranging from Indianapolis to Chile’s Atacama Desert, and offers great inspiration as you start to think about and plan trips for 2025.
Some of the destinations on the list are places I already planned to visit in 2025. For example, I’ll be in Amsterdam in February before heading to a music festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands. I’ve redeemed 51,000 IHG points for a four-night stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Amsterdam for this trip, but I’ve loved redeeming free night certificates to stay at the Kimpton De Witt on several previous trips.
One of the destinations on the list — Kansai, Japan — is already one of my favorite places to visit. I’m starting the year in Tokyo before heading up to ski in Niseko, but will almost certainly visit Osaka and other parts of the Kansai region later in 2025.
Although the Kansai region has plenty of luxury hotels, I’ll likely redeem 8,000 Choice points per night to stay in the middle of Osaka at the Comfort Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi or redeem Hyatt points for a stay at the Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka, a Category 1 hotel.
Now is a great time to plan one or more trips for 2025. Here are some articles to help you get started:
