Here on TPG’s wildly charismatic, beautiful, fun and funny — not mention smart — Hotels team, we like to think of ourselves as a sort of hotel Santa. Every year, we make a list of the most exciting hotel openings, spend the year trying to get to all of them to see if they’re naughty or nice, and then, at the end of the year, check that list twice to decide which ones really were the best of the best.
Now that we’re entering the 11th month of the year (shout out to my fellow Scorpios), we’ve seen many of these hotels open — and, inevitably, the ones that were way too ambitious with their opening dates pushed back to next year.
Toward the end of the year, we’ll roll out a list of our favorite hotel openings of 2024. Until then, Hotel Santa and his little elves will be out reviewing hotels until the very last minute.
