Last week, we saw a lot of news about elite status programs — American Airlines announced 10 changes to its AAdvantage program, and TPG Managing Editor Clint Henderson weighed in with his thoughts as an Executive Platinum member.

There were elite status match challenges announced, and some Delta Air Lines SkyMiles members found that they had been gifted a status renewal even if they missed requalifying by a bit.

Nick Ewen, TPG’s director of content, reached Marriott’s Lifetime Platinum status and shared how that will (or won’t) change his travel plans and tips for how you can reach it as well.
