IHG ups its luxury and lifestyle game in Peru — starting at 25,000 points per night
IHG is planting new roots in Peru with the reflagging of Iberostar Selection Miraflores as the soon-to-reopen Souma Hotel Lima. The property will stand as part of IHG's Vignette Collection, made up of "one-of-a-kind hotels" that "each has its own story and outlook to share."
Located in Lima, Peru's capital, Souma Hotel Lima is the Vignette Collection's first entry point into South America. Set to reopen in March, the hotel is operated by Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, a partner of IHG, and is found in the upscale neighborhood of Miraflores overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Comprised of 214 guest rooms, the hotel's design was inspired by Peru's Pacaya Samiria Nature Reserve and offers plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows, soft hues and an overall minimalist feel.
Food in Peru is serious business — and Souma Hotel Lima is no exception. Fine dining concept Ortega & Huaman serves up Peruvian and Mediterranean fusion food, while the rooftop restaurant 27 Tapas offers Spanish and Peruvian bites alongside live DJs and views of the city and the ocean. A Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) experience is also available at Kimo.

But you don't have to eat to catch rooftop views of Lima. A heated infinity pool is set to grace the roof of the hotel, which will also host "memorable rituals," bespoke activities at every Vignette Collection property. On the roof deck, guests are invited to start and end each day with complimentary experiences like sunrise yoga or daily pisco cocktail tastings. In addition, the hotel will have a 24-hour fitness center, a spa and four floors of meeting and events space.
Souma Hotel Lima is focused on sustainability. It plans to be Lima's first plastic-free hotel, and will work with partners to reduce waste and environmental impact — especially around Peru's beautiful coastline.
Reservations for Souma Hotel Lima are now open for stays beginning March 5 and start at $214 or 25,000 IHG One Rewards points per night.
