How to get presale tickets to Lady Gaga's 'Mayhem Ball' tour
Editor's Note
Fresh off of taking home a Grammy award, releasing a chart-topping album and having 10 songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100, Lady Gaga recently announced four shows in Singapore this coming May.
Now, "The Mayhem Ball" tour is coming to North America, Europe and the United Kingdom in what is set to be one of the biggest tours of the year.
If you're a Lady Gaga fan and have a Citi credit card in your wallet, you're in luck: You'll get early access to buy tickets for the North American leg of the tour.
Tickets go on sale to the general public April 3 at noon local time, but beginning March 31, Citi cardholders can buy presale tickets. Luckily, most Citi credit and debit cardholders are eligible (excluding those with corporate cards).
No registration is required, much like past Citi presales.
"Citi is committed to delivering more than just benefits—we deliver experiences that matter. Giving our cardmembers presale access to Lady Gaga's upcoming tour is one way we turn loyalty into unforgettable moments," said Anthony Merola, head of U.S. rewards products and loyalty programs at Citi. "With Mayhem topping the charts and sparking a wave of cultural excitement, we're proud to be connecting cardmembers to one of the most talked-about artists in the world right now."
Let's dive into Citi's continuing trend of giving cardholders exclusive access to the hottest tours in town.
What is the Citi 'Mayhem Ball' tour presale?
If you are a Citi consumer credit or debit cardholder, you can access the presale tickets. Unfortunately, corporate cardholders won't be eligible for this presale.

Here are the details we know so far about Citi's "Mayhem Ball" tour presale:
- No registration is required.
- Presale ticket access starts March 31 at noon local time.
- Presale ticket access ends April 2 at 11 a.m. local time.
- On the day of the presale, head to citientertainment.com and select "The Mayhem Ball" tour. You will be redirected to a Ticketmaster page where you can wait to purchase tickets. Before you can buy tickets, you will be prompted to enter a presale code, which is the first six digits of your Citi card number.
- A variety of tickets will be available for purchase; tickets must be purchased with a Citi card.
If you don't have a Citi card but want to access the presale, there's still time to apply for a new Citi card. While you probably won't get your physical card in time, select Citi cards have the option for an instant card number upon approval.
How to get an instant Citi card number
If you don't have a Citi card in your wallet, don't fret. You can apply for the Citi Custom Cash® Card and, if eligible, receive an instant card number upon approval.
Plus, new Citi Custom Cash Card holders can earn $200 cash back after spending $1,500 in the first six months of account opening. That cash back can help offset future concert tickets.

Upon approval, eligible applicants receive access to an instant card number with a portion of their line of credit available to use. The first six digits of the instant card number can be used as a presale access code.
It's important to note that you must write down your instant card number as soon as you're approved, as there is no way to go back and retrieve it after the fact.
Additionally, buying tickets with the instant card counts toward the minimum spending requirement for earning the welcome offer.
The information for the Citi Custom Cash has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Tips for securing tickets
Here are a few tips for securing tickets so you can see Lady Gaga on "The Mayhem Ball" tour.
Be early
You should be on the presale ticket page and signed into your Ticketmaster account at least 30 minutes to an hour before the sale starts. This will be one of the most popular tours of the year, so tickets will likely sell out. The earlier you're on the presale page, the better.
Decide whether to use your cellphone or desktop
While Ticketmaster recommends using a desktop for presale tickets, some users on online forums have stated that they have better success using their phones to purchase tickets. If you have a weaker Wi-Fi connection, using a cellphone may be a better option.
If you use a desktop, you will want to close extra open tabs and, most importantly, ensure you don't have multiple presale page tabs open. If possible, avoid congested Wi-Fi networks like coffee shops or restaurants.

You may also want to use a shopping portal aggregator like Rakuten to earn bonus points or cash back, but keep in mind that doing so could slow down the checkout process. You'll have to ask yourself if the bonus points are worth potentially missing out on getting tickets.
Know your card number
For faster checkout, save your Citi card to your Ticketmaster account. Additionally, you can save your card and billing information to your computer or phone to use an autofill tool at checkout.
You will also want to memorize the presale code, which is the first six digits of your card number.
Have patience with refreshing the page
If you don't get through to buy tickets immediately, just have a little bit of patience.
Don't refresh the page if you are put into a queue or waiting room. If you do, you may lose your place in line. You will eventually get through the waiting room and have access to purchase whatever tickets are available.

You will want to refresh the page if you have been waiting for a while and have not been put in a waiting room or queue. You should refresh the page until you get put into the queue.
Be careful with will-call
If you use someone else's card (with their approval) to purchase tickets, you may get will-call tickets. With will-call tickets, you have to pick them up in person at the concert venue and show an ID that matches the name on the card used to buy them. This might be a problem if that person is out of state and can't come with you to pick them up.
This is not necessarily the case with all tickets purchased with another person's card, but there's a possibility this could happen to you.
What card should I use for Citi's Lady Gaga presale?
To be eligible to access the presale tickets, you must pay with an eligible Citi credit or debit card. If you have multiple Citi cards, the question becomes which one to use. Remember that corporate cards are not eligible for the presale.
Our top pick is the Citi Double Cash® Card (see rates and fees), which earns 2% cash back (1% cash back when you buy and 1% when you pay) on all purchases. To learn more, read our review of the Citi Double Cash.
Bottom line
Lady Gaga Gaga will kick off "The Mayhem Ball" tour July 16 in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena. She may be coming to a city near you in 2025, and that's something you surely won't want to miss. If you hold a Citi credit or debit card, you can take advantage of this presale opportunity.
Access to presale tickets starts March 31 at noon local time. This presale will only last about two days, so be sure to jump on those tickets quickly.
If you're a Lady Gaga fan and don't have a Citi card, you could apply for a new one and use an instant card number to access the presale. Don't miss out on the chance to experience one of the most popular tours of 2025.
