Editor's Note

This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers. Some of the offers below may be targeted.

From bonus points on your next hotel stay to generous sales on airline miles, we're always looking for travel deals that help you earn more points and miles and allow you to redeem them for maximum value. In other words, we want to help you book the vacation of your dreams.

This month, we found flights to Sydney for as low as 35,000 American Airlines AAdvantage miles — and you can earn more than enough miles for a round-trip flight with this highest-ever credit card offer. Cruise lovers can look forward to various wave season offers this time of year, including up to $500 in instant savings on Princess Cruises. And if you have the Chase Freedom Flex® (see rates and fees), be sure to activate your first-quarter bonus categories.

We help our readers each week by rounding up promotions so you don't have to scour the internet for the best reward redemptions and offers. This includes everything from frequent flyer programs and hotel rewards programs to credit card offers and rental car deals. Here's our latest list of noteworthy new points and miles promotions for January.

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on specific dates, as well as the opportunity to earn more points or miles for future travel and exclusive deals to accumulate points or miles toward elite status. Below are some of the best offers we found for January.

Save on an Alaska Airlines flight when you join Atmos Rewards

If you haven't yet joined the Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards program, this is your sign to do so. You can score savings on your next flight simply by joining the program by Dec. 31.

U.S. residents outside the states of Alaska, California and Hawaii can register here to get a discount code valid for $25 off a new ticket purchase on Alaska Airlines, while residents of California and Hawaii can register here for a $50 discount code.

Your discount code will be deposited into your new Atmos Rewards account within 72 hours, and it will be valid for travel within 120 days of enrollment.

Earn bonus Avios with Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can earn 5,000 bonus Avios on eligible economy tickets and 10,000 bonus Avios in premium cabins when booking online with code "JANBONUS." Book by Jan. 16 for travel completed by March 31. This offer applies only to flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways, and it can be used multiple times during the offer period.

Additionally, you can save up to 20% when booking on qatarairways.com or the airline's mobile app. Book by Jan. 14 for travel between Jan. 15 and Oct. 31 (blackout dates apply).

Hotel loyalty program promotions (January 2026)

The Regent Bali Canggu. IHG HOTELS

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays and new ways to earn extra points. Here are some January deals to consider when booking your next stay.

Earn double IHG points on 2 or more stays

If you're planning more than one hotel stay this quarter, this IHG One Rewards promotion is for you.

After you register, you can earn double base points starting with your second qualifying stay, then keep earning on unlimited stays until March 31. A qualifying stay is defined as a minimum of one night at a participating hotel booked under a qualifying rate, with total spend exceeding $30 (or local currency equivalent) per night.

Since IHG awards up to 10 points per dollar spent on stays, depending on the hotel brand, you could earn up to 20 points per dollar with this promotion.

Earn 3,000 bonus Marriott points per night in Japan

Heading to the Land of the Rising Sun this winter? This Marriott Bonvoy deal can earn you 3,000 bonus points per night at select hotels in Japan.

You'll need to book using promo code "S2449" and stay by Feb. 11 (blackout dates may apply depending on the hotel). You can see participating properties and book your stay here.

Card issuers offer deals and discounts on a wide range of products, from airfare to dining. Here are some of the offers we've rounded up this week. Note that you must activate these offers on your card and use the enrolled card to make the purchase in order to earn bonus rewards. Not all offers may be available on your account.

Targeted Chase Offer at Chase Travel

Now is a great time to start planning your 2026 travels, and this Chase Offer could help you save on flights, hotels, rental cars and more through Chase Travel℠. You can receive a $100 statement credit when you spend $600 or more on purchases made at chasetravel.com by Jan. 31.

Plus, you could potentially stack this with your The Edit credits on the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (see rates and fees) and the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ (see rates and fees).

Targeted Citi Offer at JetBlue

This Citi Merchant Offer could save you up to 20% on your next flight. We spotted it on the Citi Strata Elite℠ Card (see rates and fees).

Earn $50 cash back when you spend $200 or more on a JetBlue flight by Feb. 28. Since JetBlue (and other airlines) often breaks purchases of multiple tickets down by passenger, it is possible that the ticket price per person must be at least $200 to trigger this offer.

Targeted Amex Offer on select flights

Another way to save on flights is this Amex Offer, which we found on the American Express® Gold Card.

Earn a $200 statement credit after you spend a total of $1,000 in one or more purchases of eligible flights booked online at amextravel.com by Jan. 31. To qualify, flights must originate in the U.S., be charged in U.S. dollars and be operated by Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Swiss or Discover Airlines.

Targeted Amex Offer on Expedia hotels

You can also save on your next hotel booking with this Amex Offer.

Earn 10% back, up to $120 in cash back, on qualifying purchases of prepaid hotel bookings at expedia.com/amex by Feb. 2.
