JetBlue ends Go Long, Lucky 7 and Take 3 bonus points programs ahead of TrueBlue refresh
JetBlue is teasing some major "enhancements" to the TrueBlue program, including big changes to Mosaic status. But ahead of those, the airline is ending bonus programs that could offer real value to frequent JetBlue flyers.
The airline said Friday that it will end the Take 3, Lucky 7 and Go Long bonuses at the end of this year. These bonus programs have been mainstays of the TrueBlue program for years.
JetBlue also said it was ending the ability to upgrade from regular Mint Suites to larger Mint Studio seats with points as of Nov. 30, although customers can still pay cash to upgrade.
Each of the bonus programs offered extra TrueBlue points for JetBlue passengers who met certain flight requirements over the course of a given year.
The Take 3 Bonus gave travelers an easy 5,000 bonus points — worth $65 according to TPG's latest valuations — after flying three round-trip JetBlue-operated flights in a calendar year, while the Lucky 7 Bonus offered 7,000 bonus points — worth $91 — after taking seven round-trip flights in a calendar year.
The Go Long Bonus, on the other hand, offered an extra 10,000 points — worth $130 — after passengers purchased and flew 10 one-way JetBlue-operated flights that were at least 1,600 miles long. Flights between the coasts, to parts of the Caribbean, to London and more could meet that threshold.
Looking ahead, JetBlue was mum on details about the TrueBlue program changes but offered a few broad hints on what to expect. The airline said in an email to customers that new ways to earn Mosaic status, additional perks for Mosaic members and the ability to customize perks would be introduced in 2023, along with new perks that non-Mosaic members can earn.

In the meantime, TrueBlue members who are on track to earn the bonuses for this final year still have time to meet the requirements.
TrueBlue members earn anywhere from 1 to 15 points per dollar spent on flights. Earning rates increase depending on the class of service, how you book, using a JetBlue credit card and holding Mosaic elite status. Points can be redeemed for flights or vacation packages and can be combined with cash.
