Hilton's brand new budget-friendly Motto hotel opens in New York City
There is a fun new addition to the New York City hotel scene.
Hilton has opened a Motto hotel in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. This is only the third property Hilton has opened under this brand, which was introduced in 2018.
These micro hotels in urban destinations were designed to compete with hostels by offering small, affordably priced rooms.

Rooms at hotels under the Motto brand are small, with an average size of 163 square feet. Let's be realistic, though, most hotel rooms in NYC are small.

Up to three rooms can be connected for friends and family traveling together, and there are flexible sleeping setups that include bunk beds and king beds that fold into the wall. Rooms feature smart technology that allows guests to stream shows and adjust the temperature and lighting through the Hilton app.
