It's that time of year again. No, not the time when houses are fully decorated for Halloween, though holiday decorations are slowly making their way onto shelves. But it's also the time of year when Disney raises its prices. In fact, it was exactly one year ago today that Disney announced a slew of increases across multiple categories.

Today, Disney announced price increases at both of its U.S. parks. At Walt Disney World in Florida, those increases will affect parking prices and annual passes but are accompanied by exciting changes like the return of all-day park hopping.

Beginning today, guests who visit Disneyland in Anaheim, California will also see prices increase across the board for tickets, parking, annual passes and the popular Disney Genie+ skip-the-line service. If you want to know exactly how much more expensive your next Disneyland visit is going to be, here's a breakdown of the numbers.

Disneyland ticket price increase

As of Oct. 11, 2023, it will cost between $5 and $65 more to visit Disneyland. Disneyland moved to a tiered pricing model for one-day tickets in 2016, making slower times of year less expensive than busier seasons. Of those, only the Tier 0 ticket price remains the same at $104. All other tiers, along with multiday tickets, are going up.

The new pricing structure for Disneyland

Single-day, one-park Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park ticket prices are now:

  • 1-Day, 1-Park, Tier 0 — $104 (no increase)
  • 1-Day, 1-Park, Tier 1 — $119 (previously $114)
  • 1-Day, 1-Park, Tier 2 — $134 (previously $129)
  • 1-Day, 1-Park, Tier 3 — $154 (previously $144)
  • 1-Day, 1-Park, Tier 4 — $169 (previously $159)
  • 1-Day, 1-Park, Tier 5 — $184 (previously $169)
  • 1-Day, 1-Park, Tier 6 — $194 (previously $179)

Multiday Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park ticket prices are now:

  • Two-day ticket — $310 (previously $285)
  • Three-day ticket — $390 (previously $360)
  • Four-day ticket — $445 (previously $395)
  • Five-day ticket — $480 (previously $415)
DISNEYLAND

The price of Disneyland's Park Hopper add-on that allows you to visit both parks on the same day is also going up, though the price of a one-day park hopper will remain the same.

Disneyland Park Hopper add-on prices are now:

  • One-day Park Hopper — $65 (no change)
  • Two-day Park Hopper — $65 ($5 increase)
  • Three-day Park Hopper — $70 ($10 increase)
  • Four-day Park Hopper — $70 ($10 increase)
  • Five-day Park Hopper — $75 ($15 increase)

Despite these pricing changes, there are still ways to save money on your upcoming Disneyland trips. Recently, Disneyland announced a kids ticket deal allowing children ages 3 to 9 to visit for as little as $50 per day. These specially priced tickets will be on sale beginning Oct. 24, 2023, and are eligible for visits between Jan. 8 and March 10, 2024.

You may also be able to save money by purchasing your tickets from a third-party seller like Undercover Tourist. When prices go up, they typically have an allotment of tickets they can sell at the old price while supplies last. You can currently save up to $138 on Disneyland tickets by purchasing them this way.

It's also worth noting that there are a few exciting new things coming to Disneyland next year, including the new Tiana's Bayou Adventure attraction, the reimagined Pixar Place Hotel and the ongoing expansion of Downtown Disney.

Disneyland annual price increase

Pricing for Disneyland's annual passes — called Magic Key Passes — is also increasing beginning today. There are currently four tiers of Disneyland annual passes, and each tier will see an increase between $50 and $150 per year. Each tier allows guests to pay one price for multiple visits throughout the year, but the lower-priced tiers have more blackout dates while the higher-priced tiers allow for more flexibility.

  • Inspire Magic Key — $1,649 (previously $1,599)
  • Believe Magic Key — $1,249 (previously $1,099)
  • Enchant Magic Key — $849 (previously $699)
  • Imagine Magic Key — $499 (previously $449)

Along with this increase, Disneyland is introducing new Magic Key Extras Unlocked, exclusive yearly offerings that are only for Magic Key holders. This could be anything from select experiences and keepsakes to early access to purchase tickets for special events. With the prices going up, Magic Key holders will want to keep an eye out for these offerings to ensure they get every cent of value they can from their annual pass.

Disney Genie+ price increase

When Disney Genie+ was introduced in December 2021, it quickly became a necessity for Disneyland visits. Disney Genie+ allows guests to skip the line on select Disneyland attractions, along with other perks like unlimited Photo Pass downloads during your visit.

At Disneyland, you can purchase Disney Genie+ as an add-on to your vacation package, or you can purchase it on the day of your visit. As of Oct. 11, 2023, the price is increasing for pre-arrival and day-of Disney Genie+.

  • Pre-arrival Disney Genie+ — $30 (previously $25)
  • Day-of Disney Genie+ — variable, starting at $30

Disneyland is also making moves to increase the value of Disney Genie+, adding two attractions that were previously unavailable to use with the service. Beginning today, guests can reserve Lightning Lane entry to Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway with Disney Genie+ and next month, The Little Mermaid — Ariel's Undersea Adventure will join the list as well.

Prior to today's change, you would have had to enter a virtual queue or purchase an individual Lightning Lane for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, which could cost between $15 and $20 on its own. There is still one attraction at each park that you will need to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane pass to access (Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland Park and Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park), but having more attractions included in Disney Genie+ does make the hard-to-swallow price increase a bit more bearable.

Disneyland parking price increase

Parking prices at Disneyland are also on the rise beginning today, with prices across the board going up by $5. For example, standard parking at Disneyland's theme parks is increasing to $35 (previously $30), and preferred parking is going up to $55 (previously $50).

Parking at Disneyland's hotels also increases from $35 to $40 for standard self-parking and from $65 to $70 for overnight valet parking.

Parking prices at Downtown Disney remain unchanged.

Bottom line

It's never exciting to see prices go up at your favorite theme parks, but there is still plenty of happiness to be found at The Happiest Place on Earth. If there is any "spoonful of sugar" that can help this medicine go down, it's that there are still ways to save money at Disneyland, including the upcoming kids' ticket discount, choosing an off-property hotel and more on our full list of money-saving tips for Disney.
