Aer Lingus is getting set to launch its latest U.S. route. The Irish flag carrier announced Tuesday that this fall, it will begin new nonstop service from Dublin to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas.

The new route will be a seasonal offering, with the Dublin-based carrier flying three times weekly to the Nevada desert.

Tickets are now on sale.

This nonstop route to the Irish capital fills an obvious need, said Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority: In 2023, the city welcomed 52,000 visitors from the Emerald Isle.

"This direct, nonstop service from Dublin will undoubtedly be motivation for Irish travelers and visitors throughout Europe to discover everything Las Vegas has to offer," Hill said in a statement announcing the news Tuesday.

Aer Lingus will commence its nonstop service between Dublin and Vegas on Oct. 25. The winter seasonal route will run through April 29, 2025, with Aer Lingus operating the route with a wide-body Airbus A330-300 — the largest jet in its fleet.

Here's how the itinerary shakes out:

  • LAS-DUB: Departs 7:35 p.m., arrives 1:10 p.m. next day
  • DUB-LAS: Departs 3:20 p.m., arrives 5:10 p.m.

Aer Lingus will fly this route three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Booking a flight on Aer Lingus

With the addition of Vegas to its route map, Aer Lingus will fly to 14 U.S. cities this winter — including three on the West Coast.

The airline also will operate four additional routes to the U.S. East Coast from Shannon, Ireland, and Manchester, England.

If you're hoping to use your points or miles to book a flight aboard Aer Lingus to Dublin — from Vegas or any other U.S. city — there are plenty of options even if you're not a regular Aer Lingus flyer.

You can transfer your American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to the carrier's AerClub loyalty program, and then book a seat in economy or in one of Aer Lingus' lie-flat business-class seats.

Or, if you carry another major program's card, you can transfer points to an overseas airline that uses Avios as its loyalty currency — like British Airways, Iberia or Qatar Airways — and then transfer those Avios to Aer Lingus AerClub.
