Through next week, Delta fliers can take advantage of special deals to Australia, which recently reopened to vaccinated travelers in February.

Miles and cash deals are available in four cabins, starting at 55,000 Delta SkyMiles one way or 86,000 miles round trip.

You can take advantage of various deals from more than 31 U.S. cities to Australia using miles or cash. If you're using miles, awards start at:

  • 55,000 SkyMiles one way or 86,000 miles round trip for main cabin (plus taxes and fees)
  • 84,000 SkyMiles one way or 138,000 miles round trip in Delta Comfort+ (plus taxes and fees)
  • 112,000 SkyMiles one way or 176,000 miles round trip in Delta Premium Select (plus taxes and fees)
  • 180,000 SkyMiles one way or 232,000 miles round trip in Delta One (plus taxes and fees)

Award seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets.

This particular flight is available in four Delta cabins, starting at 80,000 miles plus $112 round trip in Delta's main cabin. You can see above that the cash price for the same flight is $1,824, giving you more than 2 cents per mile in value. TPG values Delta SkyMiles at 1.57 cents per mile as of February 2022, so going the SkyMiles route on this specific trip would give you a nice return.

All Delta flights between the U.S. and Australia include two free checked bags and each fare type included in this deal can be changed without a fee. SkyMiles members can change or cancel award tickets without a redeposit or change fee for travel originating from North America to anywhere in the world, excluding basic economy fares. Mileage differences, taxes and fees may apply.
