You can book one-way flights from $46 or 4,000 miles in Alaska Airlines' fall sale
Alaska Airlines just dropped its annual fall fare sale, offering one-way Saver fares for West Coast destinations for as low as $46 or 4,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles. The sale covers hundreds of routes in the airline's network — including Hawaii — for travel this fall.
Some of the cheapest deals we found include flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Portland International Airport (PDX) in Oregon for only $49 each way. We also saw one-way fares from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) available for 4,000 miles.
There are other bargains to be found, and the travel window is quite accommodating — from Aug. 8 through Dec. 18. However, you must book by 11:59 p.m. PDT on Aug. 8. Keep in mind, too, that there are blackout dates, and restrictions vary by city. Sale fares include a free carry-on bag.

We always recommend using the calendar tool on Alaska Airlines' website to search for flights — it will show you the lowest fares available for a specific month. Using the calendar view, we found one-way flights from Seattle to San Francisco in September for as low as 4,000 miles, plus $6 in taxes and fees.

For Seattle-to-San Francisco flights in September, cash rates are also available for as little as $136.20 round-trip.

There are flights in late August from Los Angeles to Portland, Oregon, too, for less than $100 round-trip.

Additionally, in September, there is good availability from San Jose, California, to the Big Island starting at $139 each way.

But the lowest fares we found are for Los Angeles-to-Las Vegas flights. They're available for October travel for as little as $46 one-way.
