Airline business frequent flyer programs can be a great way for small businesses to reap some return on their investment while sending employees on business travel rather than just footing the bill and letting their employees collect all those miles. Then businesses can use the points they earn in their business mileage account to redeem for even more travel and perks like lounge access and even elite status.

Delta SkyBonus has been one of the programs to offer lucrative bonuses and promos recently including double points on certain routes from LaGuardia and on partners Air France and KLM, as well as 25,000 bonus points just for signing up.

If you already scored those bonuses and are looking for more ways to earn, though, Delta just announced a new promo for businesses to earn an additional 25,000 SkyBonus points by registering for this promotion and taking a qualifying flight by August 7, 2012. Update: This promo seems to be just for those who received the targeted email, though I will keep searching for a link that anyone can use, or if anyone has one to share, I will post it here. Also, one way you could qualify would be to open a new account, get the 25,000-point sign-up bonus, then call SkyBonus at 877-832-5211 and ask them if they will send you the targeted email as a new member.

The terms and conditions state that to qualify for the promotion, your company must have received this SkyBonus email, but even if you didn't it can't hurt to try registering if you haven't flown a qualifying flight using your SkyBonus ID yet. That's because, in order to qualify, you also must not have logged any flights in the SkyBonus program since creating a SkyBonus account. Speaking of which, there's an "Add Tickets" option under the "Your SkyBonus" tab when you're logged in where you can request missing flight credit, but I'm not sure whether you'll still get this 25,000-point bonus if you've already logged flights that just weren't credited, so if I were you, I'd do the math and if 25,000 points is more than you would have earned through flying, forget the missing credit.

The qualifying flights can be on Delta, Air France, KLM and Alitatlia and must be flown before August 7, 2012. Only flights flown after registering in the promotion will be considered.

So if you opened a SkyBonus account with the SB2012NEW promo code to score a 25,000-point sign-up bonus and then had some upcoming travel so that you could combine it with this offer, you'd already have 50,000 points. To put that in perspective, you can redeem earned points on things as small as 10 drinks coupons (10,000 points), a Delta SkyClub one-visit pass (30,000 points) or a free coach roundtrip in the US (85,000) and gifted Silver Medallion status (100,000).

2,000 More Points
As TPG reader Annalise points out below, you can score another 2,000 points by completing four SkyBonus University modules designed to teach members about the program. You can find them under the About SkyBonus tab at the top of the website, then scroll down to SkyBonus University, and take each of the four modules. Each has a quick quiz at the end that you need to pass in order to get the points, but they are awarded to your account immediately.
