Premium credit cards are not just about travel — they’re continuing to add lifestyle value you can use at home. The latest refresh of The Platinum Card® from American Express comes with some exciting new benefits for your day-to-day life.

Generation Z and millennials should rejoice — the Amex Platinum now offers up to $75 per quarter (up to $300 per calendar year) in Lululemon statement credits.* I'm excited about this benefit, as it can help me buy the latest athleisure clothing or accessories.

Whether you're looking for casual attire, travel basics or workout gear, here are 10 items TPG staffers recommend you buy with the quarterly $75 Lululemon credit.

*Enrollment is required, and outlets are excluded. Only applies to purchases at U.S. stores and online.

What is the Amex Platinum's $75 Lululemon credit?

Although the Amex Platinum's new $895 annual fee may seem extremely high (see rates and fees), perks like the quarterly up to $75 Lululemon credit (up to $300 each calendar year) help offset the cost.

The up to $75 quarterly credit is valid for eligible purchases made at U.S. Lululemon stores (excluding outlets) and on lululemon.com. If you don't use the credit at all or the entire amount, you'll forfeit the remainder.

I'm a huge fan of Lululemon and find its clothing to be an excellent choice for travel-day outfits. It's also comfortable for city travel and lightweight for exercise.

License to Train Jogger

These versatile joggers are excellent for exercising in or, my favorite, walking in cities like London, Istanbul and Paris. They feature cuffed bottoms for a fitted look and four-way stretch to keep you comfortable all day.

My favorite feature is the zippered pockets that also include hidden phone and coin sleeves. These are perfect for keeping personal items secure from falling out while you're traveling.

Everywhere Belt Bag 1L Clear

Stephanie Stevens, an associate credit cards writer at TPG, is a huge fan of the clear version of the Everywhere Belt Bag.

She feels that the bag is great for stadiums or events that have clear bag policies. Best of all, it is reasonably priced and can make a great gift option.

Lululemon Align High-Rise Pant

Lauren Wassum, a senior editor of sponsored content at TPG, highly recommends these pants for flights and travel days. They're incredibly soft and tight on the ankles, so you don't have to worry about them brushing against the airport or plane floors.

There are over a dozen colors to choose from, and they can be paired with Align tops to create a matching set.

Dance Studio Mid-Rise Jogger

Summer Hull, a senior director of content at TPG, raves about the Dance Studio Mid-Rise Jogger as the ultimate casual and everyday pant. It's lightweight, and with the added Lycra fiber, it's made to stretch but also retain its shape.

The pants come in five colors. Lululemon adds a trending color every season, making them a distinct seasonal addition in your closet.

All Night Festival Bag 5L

Sami Wilensky, a senior engineer at TPG, recommends this as an everyday bag. Even though her kids have grown up, she still brings extra items for them; this bag is large enough to fit all their things.

Even if you're a parent of a little one, you can easily add a few diapers and wipes for when you're on the go.

Best of all, it has a compact design and can be slung over your shoulder and worn as a cross-body bag for easy convenience. Lululemon offers five color options, two of which are this season's trending colors of pink and gold or rose gold.

New Parent Backpack 17L

The New Parent Backpack is an amazing product that I have used in the past. The bag offers an open-top zipper that gives you easy access to all your items inside.

It has several interior pockets to keep things like diapers, snacks and wipes organized, in addition to a removable pouch and a changing mat for when you're on the go.

This backpack has come in handy for my family, as it can easily clip onto strollers. Thanks to its water-repellent and abrasion-resistant fabric, it's built well to endure plane and train rides and the occasional rain.

Scuba Hoodie

The Scuba Hoodie is one of Lululemon's most popular items. Loved by all age groups, it comes in various fits and zipper styles, from half-zip to full-zip.

People find it soft and comfortable, making it the perfect item to wear postworkout or if you're lounging at home or sitting in a cafe and working away.

ABC Classic-Fit Trouser

These trousers are a quintessential item for those who want to dress up but don't want to compromise comfort or looks.

Whether you wear these to the office or for a day out with friends on the weekend, these pants never look out of place. Chris Nelson, a credit cards writer at TPG, touts them as the perfect pants for any occasion, and I agree.

I own several pairs of these pants in different colors, and they're easy to dress up for more professional settings or pair with other tops for a more casual look.

Men's Cityverse Sneaker

I have a tough time finding shoes that are comfortable and stylish enough to match most of my outfits, but these shoes fit the bill. The Cityverse Sneakers have the right amount of cushioning that balances comfort and support.

I've traversed many cities across the world in these shoes, and at the end of the day, my feet don't feel sore. Spot-cleaning them as they get dirty or scuffed is also a breeze.

The Mat

Staying true to its origins as a yoga pants retailer, Lululemon offers a great yoga mat. It's the perfect item for the up to $75 Amex Platinum Lululemon credit.

It's made of natural rubber and includes a top layer that absorbs moisture to retain grip during high-sweat yoga practices. For comfort, the mat can be flipped to the cushioned side.

For those who practice yoga often, the material is durable enough to last you a while, and its antimicrobial additive helps prevent mold and mildew.

Maximize the Lululemon credit

The Amex Platinum Card offers up to $75 in Lululemon statement credits each quarter. If you shop at the retailer only once and spend less than $75, you forfeit the remaining amount once the next quarter begins.

To best maximize this benefit, be sure to use the entire credit per quarter. Remember, you can spread it across multiple purchases.

The average price of popular Lululemon items, such as jackets, pants and shirts, is usually above $75, so you shouldn't have an issue using the entire credit. Just be sure to purchase items each quarter; otherwise, you'll forfeit the maximum benefit amount of $300 per calendar year.

If you've purchased an item you're not happy with, consider an exchange. A return could trigger a credit reversal, and you may not be able to use the credit again that quarter.

Another way to maximize the credit is to check markdowns or sale items; it can be a good way to save some money and stretch your credit further. Remember, only purchases made at a U.S. Lululemon store or online at lululemon.com are eligible; purchases at Lululemon outlets don't qualify.

Bottom line

The new Lululemon statement credit on the Amex Platinum is a wonderful addition that I welcome. Consider these TPG-recommended items, or, if you already have your own favorites, be sure to purchase them using your Amex Platinum next time.

With only about a week left of the third quarter for 2025, I recommend browsing Lululemon for a purchase to maximize the credit.
