Marriott’s popular “Extra Point Sundays” promotion rolls on into NFL week #10 with a new football trivia question. Answer by tweeting at @MarriottRewards before 8pm Eastern time today, November 12, and you’ll get 1,000 free Marriott points in return:
If you’re not a football fan and don’t know the answer, we’ll give you a hint: it’s a number between 10 and 12 that rhymes with “seven.” Or you can find the answer by looking at the responses of others who have already tweeted it.
Remember that before you tweet, you have to connect your Twitter and Marriott Rewards accounts together. Use this page to connect accounts and you’ll earn an additional 250 points on top of the trivia points. On that same page you’ll also find options for connecting your Facebook and Instagram accounts to Marriott Rewards to earn another 250 points for each. And following Marriott on Twitter and Instagram will get you yet another 125 points per account.
If 1,000 points doesn’t sound that exciting, keep in mind that the cheapest Marriott Category 1 PointSavers redemptions are just 6,000 points per night. That means if you’ve been tweeting the correct answer each week, you’ve already got more than enough points for a free night. And if you tweet for the first time today, there are still eight weeks left in the NFL regular season (including this one) so you can still get enough free points for a basic redemption. Just remember that Marriott points earned via social activity don’t count toward resetting the expiration clock, so don’t plan on this promotion to keep your stash of Marriott points alive.
Finally, remember to include the hashtag #RewardsPoints in your answer, and send your tweet before 8pm Eastern tonight!
