TPG Into the Blue Contest Semifinalists and Reader Celebration in San Francisco
A couple weeks ago, I was thrilled to introduce our Into the Blue: Marathon to a Million contest, celebrating one million likes on Facebook by giving away one million JetBlue TrueBlue points. Now that the submission period has ended, I'm excited to announce our five semifinalists!
Each semifinalist and a guest will be flown from their home airport to New York on Friday, May 13, for dinner with me and the TPG team. The next day, we'll wake up and depart for San Francisco — with the semifinalists sitting in my favorite option for transcon business-class travel, JetBlue Mint — where after landing, the contestants will start on a scavenger hunt that will span the beautiful city of San Francisco. From there, the winner will head back home with one million JetBlue TrueBlue points!
Team TPG carefully reviewed the submissions based on their appropriateness to the "Into the Blue" theme, creativity of the photo, originality of the travel experience and the number of likes and shares it got on Facebook. Here are the photos from our five semifinalists (in no particular order):

Tina D. from San Antonio submitted this adventurous photo with 2,213 likes.

Adam J. from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, submitted this photo flying over a beach. It got 1,546 likes on Facebook.

Luke M. from Los Angeles submitted this from Boulders Beach in South Africa, which got 2,154 likes.

Brian B. from Chicago submitted this awesome photo from an airplane window of the Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador. It got 1,667 likes on Facebook.

Samuel N. from Miami Beach submitted this awesome action shot from Greece, which got 2,321 likes on Facebook.
All of the submissions were great and made the judging process difficult for us! If your photo wasn't selected as one of our semifinalists, fear not. I'm super excited to announce a reader celebration on Saturday, May 14, in San Francisco where we will announce the winner of our Into the Blue contest. Details will be forthcoming, but if you submitted a photo for the contest and can join us in the Bay Area, contact contests@thepointsguy.com with proof of your photo submission for first priority in attending the celebration.
Again, congratulations to our five semifinalists! Thank you to JetBlue and BarclaycardUS for your partnership!
