According to TPG’s valuations, that bonus is worth over $1,500 because the points can be transferred to 11 airline partners and three hotel partners, including United Airlines and Hyatt. You can redeem for a Category 8 hotel like the Park Hyatt Sydney or Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome; both start at 35,000 World of Hyatt points per night.
The current Chase transfer bonus of 40% to Marriott Bonvoy can provide more value when redeeming for top-tier properties (like The Resort at Pelican Hill, which announced this week that it will become a St. Regis).
Overall, my Chase points are super valuable as part of my overall points and miles strategy. I wish I could get in on this Chase bonus, but I’ve already had a Sapphire bonus in the last four years, so I wouldn’t qualify again right now. But if you have any friends or family members looking for a card with a solid bonus offer and great perks, this 75,000-bonus-point Sapphire Preferred offer is a no-brainer.
If you already have the Sapphire Preferred, then you might want to consider the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard® and its best-ever offer of 100,000 bonus miles and Admirals Club access (after spending $10,000 within the first three months of account opening).
