I love cobranded airline and hotel cards. They’re a great way to get perks in a loyalty program you use infrequently, or get even more value from a program you frequently use.
With so many of these cards currently sporting elevated or best-ever welcome offers, it’s worth highlighting why these can be great additions to your wallet.
The Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard® is letting new cardholders earn 80,000 American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles after they spend $3,500 on purchases within the first four months from account opening. Not only is that a quick and easy way to stack up these hard-to-earn miles, but having this card gets you Group 5 boarding and the first checked bag free on domestic itineraries for you and up to four companions. That can add up to a lot of savings!
For a limited time, the United Quest℠ Card is offering new cardholders a whopping 100,000 miles and 3,000 Premier qualifying points after they spend $4,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months from account opening. You and your travel companion can get your first and second checked bags free with this one in your wallet.
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card has brought back for a limited time its best offer of five free nights (each night valued at up to 50,000 points) after $5,000 in spending on eligible purchases within three months from account opening. This card comes with automatic Silver Elite status, 15 elite night credits per year and an annual free night award worth up to 35,000 points after each account anniversary.
And while these are just a few timely examples, there are many more cobranded cards with great benefits and welcome bonuses worth considering. Here’s a breakdown by brand:
Even if you don’t want a wallet full of cobranded cards like me (I have 16 total, evenly split across hotel and airline programs), you might find there’s one out there that can really improve your travel experiences.
