✈ Why Points Pros Choose Hyatt, Fall Flight Deals Roll Out Earlier Than Usual & More Daily News From TPG ✈

The small but mighty World of Hyatt

by Andrew Kunesh, Senior Reporter, Cards & Loyalty

Anytime the TPG newsroom gets to talking about which hotel loyalty program is best, hard-core defenders of World of Hyatt usually appear. Sure, it’s smaller than some rival programs, but that also means less competition for a suite upgrade, my friends! And that’s not even the best part.

While many of my colleagues with higher-tier Marriott and Hilton status note that room and suite upgrades can be few and far between, those of us with Hyatt Globalist status are regularly treated to upgrades (I nabbed a one-bedroom corner suite with my status last week at the Grand Hyatt Nashville even though I had only paid for an entry-level room).

Plus, you’ll earn a generous number of free night certificates on your way up the loyalty ranks and — lest we forget — it’s the last major loyalty program with a largely intact award chart for points redemptions, which I’d argue is the strongest selling point of the program. (Though waived resort fees on award stays and the fantastic Hyatt Globalist breakfast benefits are close seconds.)

Ready to start your own path to top-tier Hyatt status? With a World of Hyatt cobranded credit card you get complimentary Discoverist status as well as qualifying night credits toward your next status tier.

And from now until Sept. 26, the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card is offering new cardholders up to 75,000 World of Hyatt points: 60,000 points after you spend $5,000 within the first three months from account opening, plus 15,000 points after you spend $12,000 within the first six months from account opening. This bonus is worth up to $1,275 based on TPG’s August 2024 valuations, matching the best offer we’ve ever seen on this card!

For even more points to use with Hyatt, check out the Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, which has a best-ever limited-time welcome offer of 120,000 points once you spend $8,000 in the first three months from account opening. Those points can be transferred directly to your World of Hyatt account at a 1:1 ratio!

With award redemptions at resorts like the Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo and the all-inclusive Impression Moxche by Secrets in Mexico for as low as 25,000 points and 42,000 points, respectively, you can easily see why this program is a favorite among the pros.

That’s all from me for today. I’ll catch y’all tomorrow!
