Some of you may already know my before-and-after story: Prior to joining TPG, I was a total novice at transferring points from one account to the other. Whenever anyone would tell me that’s how they were making a last-minute, first-class trip from Boston to Frankfurt on Lufthansa, I would get a dazed look and wonder what kind of luxe travel sorcery this was. But it’s a lot easier than it might sound at first — and can end up saving you major bucks along the way.
