In light of the massive new offer on the Business Platinum card, let’s dive into both.
Both offer a variety of travel perks like automatic Gold elite status with Marriott and Hilton (enrollment required), as well as airport lounge access and a slew of hotel and airline transfer partners.
The Amex Platinum is the right call for many, but if you have a business, the Business Platinum might be even better for your wallet — especially with the current 150,000-point elevated offer.
You can earn 80,000 Membership Rewards points on the Amex Platinum after spending $8,000 on eligible purchases within the first six months of membership.
Meanwhile, the Business Platinum welcome offer could net you a whopping 150,000 Membership Rewards points after you spend $20,000 in the first three months of card membership. TPG values Membership Rewards points at 2 cents each, so the Amex Platinum welcome offer is worth $1,600 by that valuation, compared to the Business Platinum’s even higher welcome offer value of $3,000.
However, before you decide, know that there’s potentially an even better offer available through CardMatch for The Platinum Card from American Express. Some TPG readers are being targeted for up to a 150,000-point welcome offer when checking the CardMatch tool.
Both offers are among the most valuable on the market right now. Still not sure which card is right for you? Check out some of our recent Amex coverage:
