The highest welcome bonus available for any Marriott card right now is coming to an end Wednesday … and I’ll let you in on a “secret”: It’s for my very favorite Marriott card.
Only until Wednesday, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card is awarding 185,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points after $6,000 in eligible purchases on the card in the first six months. TPG values those points at $1,554, but bonus points are just the start of why this card has been in my wallet for years.

Automatic Marriott Platinum status. This status is super valuable for my family as it conveys free breakfast and increased Marriott points-earning rates, among other perks. Getting elite status by having the card is much easier than earning 50 Marriott nights per year.
A Marriott award night worth 85,000 points at each card renewal anniversary. I’m using mine this year for an 84,000-point night at the new beachfront Riviera Maya Edition at Kanai in Mexico. That night is otherwise selling for $800.
Up to $300 in annual dining credits in $25 monthly increments. I like to just load mine each month on my Starbucks or Chick-fil-A app, so it’s very easy to make full use of the credits.
