Have you ever wondered which airport is the busiest in the world? For the 25th time in 26 years, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) has taken that title.
Rounding out the top five were Dubai International Airport (DXB), Dallas Forth Worth International Airport (DFW), London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport (HND).
Other domestic airports in the top 10 were Denver International Airport (DEN), which was actually ahead of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), followed by Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
Reflective of its massive passenger numbers, Delta Air Lines will focus on Atlanta as one of its “core hubs” in 2024, per aviation reporter Sean Cudahy.
Even if you are not passing through one of the world’s busiest airports, no one wants to spend more time waiting in line in airports than necessary, which is why programs like TSA PreCheck, Clear and Global Entry are so useful.
